Knit to Nurture Network

The Knit to Nurture Network is a new venture by RRAVS which aims to produce worthwhile knitted goods for the local community and charitable causes. Our first project is to produce Twiddle Muffs which will be donated to local people living with Dementia. These specially-knitted hand muffs that have items such as buttons, ribbons or textured fabric attached give people living with dementia, who may become agitated,  something to do with their hands helping them to keep calm and help their hands stay warm too. Read more about their health benefits here…

We will be holding a regular group at the Hockley and Hawkwell Day Centre which will meet each Wednesday at 2pm or you can join the network and knit from the comforts of your own home, on your work break, or while you are on holiday! All you have to do is call us at RRAVS or email and we will send you all the information including knitting patterns; we also have wool and needles to get you started.

Helping is in your hands.
