The Impact of the Observant Worker

For frontline workers who have contact with children or families. This mini conference aims to show how a little knowledge and keen observation on your part can have a positive impact for children and young people bearing caring responsibilities at home.
Ideal for family support workers, teachers and teaching assistants, social care staff, school and community nurses, homecare assistants, youth workers, housing officers, volunteers with youth and community organisations and many, many more…
The afternoon will include information and advice on recognising young carers, SCAFT and other local services, followed by afternoon tea, with presentations from:

Current young carers and their families.

Charlotte Sebley – The unique perspective of a former young carer, who is now a youth and family worker.

Tim Frances – Youth Work Commissioner with responsibility for Young Carers Services in Essex.

Andy Trewern – Service Delivery Manager with SCAFT.
